Thomas Pynchon once referred to himself as a "Slow Learner." I'm an even slower learner. Ever since my high school Humanities class inspired me with the power of the written word, I have dreamed of making my mark in the literary world. More often than my inner bohemian would like, however, life has demanded that I spend time doing what will support me and my family. Add to that my excessively stressing over words and sentences in an effort to satisfy my inner artist and I don't have much work yet to show for my aspirations. I'm hoping that will change in the next few years.
Muses be praised, though, I have had work published in Utah Valley University's literary magazine
Touchstones and in a Hmong literary magazine called
Paj Ntaub Voice.
My goal for this blog is to post about my readings, writings, and thoughts.
